Here is my letter I wrote to one of the parent helpers on our Spencer Park Camp. Inside my letter is my recount about my favourite highlight from camp, which for me was orienteering. I hope you enjoy my writing.

Dear Benjamin,
Thank you so much for taking some time to come and help out at camp. I really appreciated it and i’m sure that everyone else did too. I want to say thanks one hundred times but I guess I can't. Benjamin, I really appreciate all the great things you did for us on camp.
Here is a recount I wrote about my favourite moment from camp.
‘’Come on guys, let's go!’’ I said to my group. Orienteering is my absolute favourite activity at all camps. I like it because you are just with your activity group and you sometimes get lost. My group leader's name was Benjamin, but we called him Benny. We started orienteering off in a tiny little field that wasn't really a field. My group went off last so we ran to the first post. We caught up with another group so we went ahead of them. The people in my group were, Caleb, Eden, Sam, Gina and I. Gina was in my bunk room as well so that was pretty exciting for me.
Orienteering was my most favourite activity at Woodend camp last year in Team Koru. Last years orienteering was fun but not as much fun as this year. The hardest clue was in some bushes so no wonder Lee-anne's group was last. About halfway through the activity Zeke wrecked our hut that we made in forest survival. Caleb in my group got so mad that he pulled the spine out of Zeke’s hut and lots of sticks. At the end of the activity we started to head back to the mini field so we could wait for everyone else to finish.
Once everyone was finished we went over to the playground to have a play. I went on the witches hat first and then I went on the high wire. The high wire was quite hard because it made you teeter whenever you took another step. I also went on the flying fox and Lucas went on the one next to me. Of course Lucas won the race on the flying fox’s because he got the lower flying fox and my one made me get a very painful wedgie!
After the playground we headed back to the lodge for dinner. For dinner we had scrummy chicken drumsticks, delectable roast potatoes, delightful coleslaw and chicken flavoured gravy. I hope I can do orienteering another time.
Thank you for helping me find new posts in orienteering. I don’t think that our group would have been able to find all of the posts if it wasn’t for you. I appreciate how you helped me on camp even though I was only there for one night and two days. In my words I would say that you are the best camp parents in the world.
Yours sincerely,
Kaylin
